hanging out.in the city.an observation of weird happenings in malls….

alright.the hoo haa of the latest most-lovable-brat-wizard new book last weekend. Finally.its over.im never a fan of Harry Potter books, they re too thick.and crappy if you ask me (never being a big fiction-wizard-magic sort)…but people are entitled to their fancy.
well, i juz dont get it when you camp outside bookstores juz to get yr hands on em.incomprehensible no matter how i look at it.again, whatever suits yr fancy kiddies.

then some supermart decided to put a "below the belt" (pun intended) move by pricing the RM109.90 books for 69.90. Sweet.clever.Slytherin.aha.(not a Potter fan, but i do follow d movies -cant wait for dat hero to die.darn irritating character dat Harry if you ask me….-but he didnt.darn.well so far…no ideas on the spoilers by d way)
if you ask me, alls fair in luv.and war.and pricing books.ahaha.oh yeah.business too.

on a totally different topic,

ever heard of stereotyping people…?how abt stereotyping shopping complexes.had d chance to observe last weekend, and boy, totally uncalled for, but i think yr preference of hang-out shopping complexes pretty much tells of yr demographic and social background.and yr mental state too.is it significant?i dnt know.but to some., it may be.

dont understand wat i just said?neither do i.anyway, read on, and hopefully u get it.ahaha.Please note that the traits below are based on my HONEST observation, experience and opinions on the places. if offended, well, do i give a bloody damn abt it?
Ok.im gonna stereotype kids styles i see a lot nwdays, cuz they pretty much play a part in stereotyping a shopping complex.so ill start with "style profiling".

dont blame d "old" geezer.as a t-shirt and jeans kind of person, styles are way off my topic.so ill jz observe, and interpret.riiiiiigghhttt…..

well, the following may sound like "race profiling".well pls dont feel offended.cuz no where im gonna say what race is involved.no offense intended.you make yr own judgement.

cuz…you jarang, or almost never will see some chinese boy with worn out clothes, ankle lenght jeans, with a cigarette squatting outside a shopping complex ; or an Indian kid looking like a Harajuku girl…ok.sapa makan gummi bear, dia la rasa sedap.

When Being BENG aint so cool.

***To know if u have a flicker of an Ah Beng-ish in you,see if you have any of these traits…..

-you luv wearing spiky hairdo, long sleeved shirts inside, and short sleeved, and with a thick vertical t-shirt outside.and yr jeans are kinda bling blingy, and 2 inches over yr waist size.you also have a chain connecting to yr wallet, which is not needed, cuz yr wallet is pretty thin, and loaded w yr sticker-photographs taken at the amusement centre, instead of money.and you cant speak english properly. you luv FENG-TAU.You probably watch "Project Superstar" on 8TV, and you pretty much memorize Astro Wah Lai Toi schedule.

-To know if you have the faintest taint of an Ah Lian DNA in ya, you know the "cute-finger signals pose from 1-10".U probably took a pic of u wit it, and posted it on Friendster. U want to be a Jap.without knowing, yr Great forefathers were main anti-Japs, cuz they were constantly being picked on during the war.u listen to Utada Hikaru.the only Jap word you know is Kawaii. You wear long socks with thick vertical stripes, regardless yr girth.you walk around with a sling bag, filled with God knows what, with frizzy dangly things.
-yr fav pre-clubbing meal : lok lok.anywhere.

- yr add-ons to yr self, actually cost much less than they actually are….(those are conterfeit la sayang…..)

REMPITs in d house….REM..REM…REM…

#### To know if any vile Rempit /Punk/Grunge DNA lives in you, see if even one trait below hits, well, i tell you this, detox brudder.detox.

How to Know if ure a Mat/Minah Rempit (they re d same, cuz both are dim-bulbs anyway; hard to diff em.) - Makes you wonder, arent i worried they’ll get mad by reading this…?

well, sapa makan cili, dia terasa pedas, and besides, they read blogs ka?  ok.back to the character profiling.

-yr dream kasut are the Converse-made-from cloth ones.
-you wear drainpipe-ill fitting-crotch-hugging-cheap jeans
-you have more than 3 bundle t-shirts.
-yr t-shirts can fit a 5 year old.e.g.2 sizes too small.
-yr dream vehicle? no.not a Porsche, or a Koenisegg…but a RXZ. or VS 125
-you walk like there’s an elephant flea biting yr crotch, and orang sized tumors under yr armpits.
-yr fav pre clubbing meal :none.cuz you dnt enter.u juz buy some coke frm a 7-11, and lepak outside the club.
-yr add-ons to yr bikes, actually cost more than yr "bulb"

-XPDC rock! (only to you)

IM A NIGGA from the HOOD…and MY HOOD is err….BRICKFIELDS….err. SENTUL?
well this points to some kids who wanna be like a nigga, dresses like em, and walks like em too. wear thick sweaters when its 30 degrees outside there….shiny jeans that actually reflect light…and whose hands cant stay still when they talk.
-yr fav hang out : BANGSAR!
-yr fav pre-clubbing meal : NAsi daun pisang Bangsar!
-u pretty much brag if you downed a bottle of Chivas, Vodka etc.
-u insist you be called a Malaysian, and not by yr race.

-you try to speak like Jay-Z, but yr thick accent kills any attempt.

-yr car stereo plays Sean Paul.over.and over.and over.and over.and over.like d Duracell bunny.only more irritating.

-u wear shades, even when its at 10pm, and ure indoors.

-yr only similarity to a nigga, or any western rapper, is yr skin shade.

-yr add-ons to yr car actually cost more than the car itself.

Techie-Geek-I-Own-An-IPhone!

well pretty much hang out in tech areas.dont really kacau anyone.juz make you feel really, really inferior, when all you are getting is a 512MB RAm, and d dude beside you (MR GEEK) buys a top shelf, AlienWare….6X yr PC’s performance….

EMO!

New clss i saw few mnths back.black eyeshadow.wearing cheap blazers.i think dats d only part in life they re gonna wear a tie, coat and slacks….but with converse shoes.or Pallas Jazz even. wear wings on their backs.walk with umbrellas indoors. main brand is Emily the Strange.

OK.mall/shopping complex profiling!

Place: Bukit Bintang /Sungei Wang/Berjaya Times Square…..

bad aeration, congestion, too many people, hot.terrible layout, even terrible escalator layout, great bargains, good price, limited food choice…..but we still love it!

if you hang
out here often, you most probably fall into one of these categories….

- you love bargain hunting, and you pretty much grow up around this area.
-you most probably come from the Cheras area, or Ampang.
-you probably like bubble gum.the cheap variation.looks pretty sweet in the
first
milisecond, buts gets icky and stale the next moment.

if u normally hang out here aimlessly, most probably because

-you probably are an Ah Beng or an Ah Lian.
-youre a Goth / emo-rock.
-yr a Mat Rempit/minah Rempit/mat Punk/skinhead/grunge
-yr idea of hanging out is to walk around aimlessly, and the sure visit
outlet is the 7-11, or the lok-lok auntie behing IMBI Plaza.

some visitors normal activity

- bargain with the auntie shop owner.

-pretty much, all the types of people hang or at least hung out here.therefore, id agree to call this the "Malaysia Mall" a.k.a. Layan Lepak Legendary status Holy Ground.

KLCC

-MAt rempits visit here too much.since its d most convenient to reach.to look at the KLCC fountain, and also to do scenes at the park.what? u dont know? its an open secret man.

-again the venue of a twice yearly pilgrimage of geeks, and techies who go to the KLCC convention centre for the PC Fair.funny.i never see any rempits innit.its like there is this invisible wall outside of the convention centre….rempits just dont enter it.hmmm…

-apart frm expats, glamor /fashion hi-end ones, most prominent faces: tourists.and spot on, Bangladeshis, Nepalese,or Pakistanis who have the knack of posing on a pathway lampost for photos.no kidding! even noticed a dude doing the "Sleeping buddha" pose for a pic by a staircase.

you normally come here if, or because….

- you may live near this place, Ampang, Wangsa Maju etc. easily connected via lrt places.

-its d bookstore…honest (i agree!)

-you dont mind playing sardine in a train, or play the "avoid touching anyone’s butt in the train" game.

-you dont mind paying parking up to 12 bux.

-you like playing with freakinly congested elevators.

-you love the fountains.and the extra activities with it.

-mat rempits turn you on…errr…(wat d fuck?!)

-KLCC sounds way cooler than BB Plaza…btul tak…?

Mid Valley Megamall :

-use to be d hang out joint for majority-ly Beng-bengs and Lian-Lians….now, after Komuter gets a stop here, Rempits start to come by the coaches.

-Trucker hats , 25 degrees to either side is a staple "in" gaya. fav hang out place for the lepak-ers : centrecourt, looking at people walking around. most unfrequently visited: the MPH.ahaha.even if they do, the get a "Gempak"mag, before cabutting out.

-They hang out at the bowling alley, not to play, but to appear playing.gaya! plus, on weekends, it comes as a mini disco-atmosphere.no cover charge beb!
they hang out near the cinema.not to watch , but to appear they’re buying tix, and also , to catch the latest trailer on the huge screen.

-wannabe niggaz are also ubiquitous here.they re everywhere!

Mid Valley is also an area for aunties, and uncles to do their shopping.normally citizens of Salak, Cheras, Sri Petaling, OUG, Bangsar and also, Seputih flock this area.why? JUSCO.

normally middle class people, who malas wanna go to deep KL, avoid d jam, and also; rajin carik parking.

come here if ;
-you like queuing up to get an empty table.even if its McD!
-you like queuing up into McD, eventho ure not actually buying any McD stuff (beratur at d cinema la)
-u luv playing "human bumper cars"
-you like a bit of almost everything.
-u want a tolerable quota of each gaya of people.
-you re here for d bookstore (again;agree!)

One Utama :

place where u wanna see pretty/celebs/mix people.yeah right!higher probability, if compared to Mid Valley and BB.but still, similar trend.but albeit lesser.more family oriented.

still, i hav a funny feeling this will end up like MID valley, cuz its getting more "accessible".lesser rempits here tho. probably cuz a 5 ringgit fillup on their bikes wont get them back and fro One Utama and their nest.

more family friendly area.but i think d parking bay is too small.

terrible public transport, which leads to lesser "busuks". mellow-er crowd. great place for "wannabe-cool" people to come.

you normally frequent here if :

-you live in the PJ area.

- KLCC too rempit…Mid Valley too Ah Beng, fake niggaz….i wanna be smwhere nice. (yeah right.dream on sucker)

-you wanna go to Jusco.simply.

-the word Damansara is power-er than Mid Valley….? err…haimeh…?

-u luv traffic jams.

-ure here fr d bookstore.wait a minute.heh.yeah right.

The Curve…IKANO.

i managed to drop by last weekend.simply la.driver duty.long story.anyways, my observations show that ;

well its a high class area, so high end pricing also la.a mamak also charged me 1.50 fr a teh tarik in damansara, so wat u expect?

hardly any rempits.hardly any ah bengs and ah lians. wat i get is simple clothing.easy said, people who come here are family oriented la.

cool.but bad thing, unreasonably priced stuff.it keeps d rempits away.maybe…hmmm…well, ntg is perfct.nothing much to buy, unless u got money to burn.

-you frequently hang here if….well, aint got anythn bttr to do than spend money on overpriced stuff, well, wat else can u do eh?

-u wann ago to Ikea.yeah right.dnt think this is a good hang out anyway.more of a family mall….hmmmm

anyways, dnt take "hang out" as in you visited it.i mean HANG OUT as in lepak in d area on a normal basis.easy.well honestly, my fav hang out is Mid Valley.reason, its convenient.but usually go there for a reason.to get specific stuff.not to loiter.so generally, yeah, the stuff written applies to LOITERS. get a hint.pardon d long entry.its Monday, and im effin bored.kerja stuff siap dah.

so what about people who dont see themselves in any of the "style profiling" part…?well, feel good.u got brains.you shop cuz you shop. and yr hang out area preference is purely out of convenience, logic, and yr activities planned.

-woot woot!
